Alberta Ferretti Limited Edition Autumn-Winter 2016-17 – Alberta Ferretti has created an ethereal and dream like collection with her floaty and light designs.  The graceful and feminine silhouettes evoke pure romance with lightness being a staple of this collection.  Luxurious silk and lace provides a sheer touch and simplicity that could only be defined as sheer beauty.  The intricate gold embroideries on the garments create suggests a hint of decadence which is elevated by the use of the colours gold, silver and champagne.  Ferretti was inspired by 1920s flappers as demonstrated in the fringe as floaty nature of the garments.  She also uses small pieces of silk to give the look of feathers.
