Givenchy

Givenchy Man Spring-Summer 2017 – The Givency collection shown in Paris stuck with Tisci’s modernising, gothic-futuristic styling and was not afraid to make an impact. Models were clad in a variety of garments, from studded polo shirts, to large, oversized camouflage coats. Embellishment was a key addition to the various looks, from the aforementioned implementation of studs, to the industrial style zip detailing adorning many pieces of clothing.  As well as the repeated use of camouflage, the checkerboard print was a recurring one, making up everything from relaxed t-shirts to statement jackets. These designs were frequently clashed to create eye catching, stand-out looks. In terms of accessories, models sported flesh-tunnel type earrings which only furthered Tisci’s gothic-futuristic dream. If modernity is what he had set out to achieve for Givenchy, then he has undoubtedly succeeded.
