Comme des Garcons Homme Plus

Comme des Garcons Homme Plus Man Spring-Summer 2017 – Plastic was the order of the day at the Comme des Garcons Homme Plus show in Paris. From the onset, models were draped in transparent plastic materials in the form of coats and jackets. Sleeves and shoulders were often covered in black, opaque plastic, adding a futuristic feel to the show and contrasting perfectly with the otherwise sheer styling. In terms of accessories, hair was stiffly gelled into a crown shape and the favoured footwear was fresh from the Comme de Garcon x Nike collaboration, in the form of sporty high tops. As a whole, the colour palate was fairly muted with the label favouring blacks and greys. Despite this, burnt oranges provided refreshing splashes of colour on several outfits. Patterns also featured heavily in this collection, such as a layering of grid designs and an array of polka dots smattered throughout. Certainly, this was a show in line with Kawabuko’s signature, playful style.
