Marni

Spring-Summer 2014– Structured and clean lines were the main focus at Marni, we saw wide legged pants and tailored jumpsuits with the collection having an Eastern feel with the simplicity of the wrap coats and pleated trousers. The colour pallet started off with monochrome, which took us into a subtle shade floral print motif with a shot of red. Marni never fails in making good use of the floral motifs and for the coming seasons their intricate embellished 3D applique pieces make them the stand out ones for the collection.

Quite a subdued collection from what we have seen so far from the Milan collections and not one to get the heart racing. The sophistication of the collection makes it a great work wear one and for me the jackets were the hitting pieces, not one to be missed on the schedule and can always be replied upon for exquisitely produced structures.
