Silkaline

Silkaline is a silk-like fabric. It is soft and thin, and is usually constructed using a plain weave. It is very rare nowadays, but it was formally used for linings. It is made from cotton usually and has a beautiful drape. It can be dyed in plain colours or printed with various patterns. It is very lightweight and can be made so that it is slightly sheer. Silkaline fabric is quite similar to chiffon and has similar properties.
