Lambswool

Lambswool fabric is a fine, woollen, knitted fabric. The wool is obtained from lambs. It is usually 50mm or shorter and the term ‘Lambswool’ can only be used when referring to the first shearing of a sheep at around the age of seven months. It is a soft, elastic fabric that is used mainly in hosiery and knitwear. Lambswool can also be woven into other fabrics such as herringbone, twill, tartan and check weaves and it is commonly blended with fibres such as cashmere. Lambswool is a very fine fabric, it has a soft handle and it can be dyed easily.
