Huarizo
Huarizo is the hair from an animal that is the cross between an Alpaca and a Llama. The end result is a fibre that is coarser and therefore less desirable to the textile manufacturer. The fibres produced are longer than both the Alpaca and Llama fibres. Huarizo Fabric is a knitted fabric, and it is usally blended with other fibres, such as polyester. Like many other hairs, Huarizo has a natural crimp, meaning that it has a natural elasticity, it is breathable and warm. The fleece of the Huarizo animal is very fine and it is this that is generally used for garments, such as knitwear.
