Duffel

Duffle fabric is a coarse, heavy fabric that is made from wool and woven so that it has a nap on both sides of the fabric. It can be used for bags and coats and other winter garments. Duffle was named after the town of Duffel in Antwerp, Belgium where the fabric was originally made. Duffle fabric generally has a very thick nap and can be used for items such as blankets and in camping supplies as it retains heat very well. It is usually woven in a twill weave.
