Temperley London

Temperley London Woman Autumn-Winter 2016 – For a label that has been around for 16 years, Temperley London outdid itself in creating mystic in its new collection.

Creative director Alice Temperley is known for her intricate hand worked embellishment which was evident on a lilac dress with eye-catching beadwork. The collection also featured period drama inspired silhouettes such as a dress with a Victorian high neckline. Capes will continue to trend for some time to come if the stylish ones featured in this collection are anything to go by.

For an attentive observer it was the accessories that added drama to the outfits. They included a hoop earring featuring a fish hanging as it would on a fisherman’s rod, a stone encrusted snake on a necklace and what appeared to be an antelope taking flight. Further intrigue was evident in the patterns on dresses and skirts featuring roses and an anchor and rope reading ‘lost at sea’. This was a collection that was heading firmly in the right direction.

The show was attended by Net-a-porter founder Dame Natalie Massenet as well as models Daisy Lowe and Jodie Kidd.
