Dior Homme Autumn-Winter 2016-17 – Mr Kris Van Assche who shutting his label last year, presented a collection that was more ‘him’ than ever at the Paris Fashion Week. As he spoke backstage, the designer claimed that ‘Mr Dior is never far from his mind’.

The catwalk’s background was set with three shades of electric red and black colours making the models stand out as they presented the classic collection. The catwalk set a retro atmosphere to the show, presenting the audience with collection that revisited some of Dior’s previous designs.

Dior Homme has a reputation of creating stylish suits and this season was no different as once again, the designer proved us right for his menswear autumn/winter collection, Mr Van claimed that he didn’t want the collection to be too precious or uptight.

Mr Assche brought a contemporary sense to the word classic as he introduced wide legged grey suits, black coordinated suits, oversized quilt looking bomber jackets and flowery pants.

The collection does not include a lot of colours however; Mr Assche plays with the signature colours of red, grey and black throughout his designs. The Autumn/Winter collection contains new pieces such as: the grey and black lined two piece suit, black and red jumper which was styled with a black long sleeved leather jacket.

You cannot speak of Dior without the classic accessories; models were accessorised with big woolly scarfs, handbags and of course the embellished broches on the grey suits.
