Spring-Summer 2011 – Roberto Rimondi and Tommaso Aquilano took the inspiration for this collection from a book about India. They based it on a picture of two yogis sitting cross legged in front of their hut. They showed this through fabrics and colours and subtle shape differences from the norm.  Lining their runway with linen they showed suits in raw silk and cotton. Their tops had a smock and tunic like shape and their striped pajama style trousers, and sometimes even suits, conjures up images of yogis and the spiritual style of India. Their models wear Mojaris, bejewelled, and in animal print, snake and leopard and the colours are earthy, dry Indian soil, cinnamon, and the greens of the Indian hills. They show yellows that look like the colours of ground spices in a pestle and mortar, mustard seed and cumin and felt fedora like round headed hats. An interesting western take on traditional Indian dress.
