Viktor & Rolf

Spring-Summer 2011 – Viktor & Rolf created a very feminine silhouette with a schoolboy twist. He showed suits with waist ties, creating hips and a waist on a man, the lapels embellished with jewels and sequins. Rolf Snoren said their inspiration was all in the name of bestowing on boys the elegance of men. Their shorts were short, about two inches above the knee giving the look a slightly immature style. Their loafers and brogues were shown without socks and all the models wore glasses, some with tinted lenses, some not, but all heavy framed, a signature of the label. There were pullovers and belted chinos, blouses and short sleeved shirts which gave it its desired 1940s style. Viktor & Rolf had been thinking about Hollywood start holidaying in Biarritz and the lightness and retro feel of this collection did exactly that.
