Givenchy
Autumn-Winter 2010/11 – Givenchy’s detail of the crown of thorns worn around the neck and Ave Maria being the soundtrack to the show makes for simplicity true of religion. His loose smock like jackets in black and crisp white shirts give the looks and pastoral feel. He shows black monastic skirts and hooded coats, t-shirts that read “Jesus is Lord” and strappy leather sandals. There is nothing groundbreaking, but a definite peaceful elegance to the collection.
