Spring-Summer 2012 – It was a tale of two halves narrated by Ennio Capasa. On one side was the pink and pretty, and on the other was the dark and diehard. To begin with, cream trouser suits which had pink accents and floaty chiffon shoulders. It was a pristine palette with snug blazers and bootleg trousers. Subsequently, the clothing hardened. The pinnacle of this would be the trouser suit: floral pink petal strokes on the front, and hard leather on the back. Loose pink tops were paired with tiny black leather shorts: it was the soft with the hard. Leather – as has been the case for S/S – dominated evident in turquoise leathered dresses and white leathered coats. Expert tailoring was perceptible with sleeveless waistcoats and diagonal crossing zips. Rock n’ roll transpired with visible bra tops and t-shirts edged in leather. It was an enlightening collection.
