Spring-Summer 2012 – The Chloé collection is ever wearable and this was no exception. Minimalist clothing with smart detailing is both fashionable and practical. The clothing was soft, falling in all the right places, and with the predominant colour of white, how could one not think of such evangelical attributes. Tan, turquoise and pink broke up the one colour palette delicately, with the opening white pleat dresses edged in such colours. Clare Waight Keller solidified the current trend that is the drop-waist as it symbolically dominated shorts, trousers, and skirts whilst it became manufactured onto dresses using thick belting. Crisp white blouses were tailored in a variety of ways: collarless, with bright floral embellishment, or donning cotton rivets on the sleeves. Blazers – in the typical Chloé manner – were cut to hang over anything that you may wear signifying that ‘boyish cool’ so symbolic with the label.  It was a neat and nice collection.
