Autumn-Winter 2010/11 – Known as the ‘architect of fashion’ for his original attitude towards fashion design, this collection triumphed the Ferré people knew and loved: clothing that was sharp, cutting, and incredible wearable.The dominatrix style collection had with it a touch of the androgynous. The first model onto the catwalk was the epitome of this. In black leather from her jacket to her skirt, the thick buckled belt that brought in the waist said it all; powerful, domineering and bold. Boxy dresses were juxtaposed with figure hugging ones revealed from the body by a slit at the front. The clothes were of a simple dimension but well executed in black, tan and beige. The key accessory here was the belt, which broke up pencil skirts and tight tops, or was purely an accompaniment for a coat. For evening wear, floor length slinky maxi dresses were incredibly elegant in pure gold, or black and gold.
