Alexis Mabille Women Spring Summer 2016 –

Alexis Mabille infuses Parisian chic with a quirky sweetness in his latest collection. The lines of his clothing are soft, flowing, and feminine; red silken suits drape beautifully over the body, while white maxi dresses with embroidered sleeves swoop to the ground.

A watermelon motif runs throughout the collection, whether printed all over a jumpsuit or conjured up in the tiny detailing of a jumper. His jewellery also follows this concept, with small sprigs of coral, semi precious stones and watermelons layered over one another and chained in gold. Delicate lace in aquamarine colours also features, while fineness is embraced by Mabille’s use of buttery soft silk and satin. The result is super-cute and a celebration of femininity – Mabille shuns overt sexiness in his designs, instead allowing for soft lines and girlish charm to reign.

His trademark bows appeared on the waists of the models, cinching them in, with exquisite miniature backpacks dangling attached via a small loop. The heels are high and glorious: turquoise and green, pink and red, completed with tiny interlocking metal circles. Mabille’s collection is truely enchanting
