Feather

Feathers have been worn as part of a headdress for several centuries but are mostly known for being worn in the 1920s on headbands which were worn across the forehead. The headband was heavily embellished with sequins, beads and diamantes in order to stand out with the feather standing tall above the headband. These headbands were often worn as part of evening wear attire seen to be worn by entertainers in the 1920s along with flapper dresses.
