Bucket hat

The Bucket hat is traditionally Irish and was originally worn by fishermen and farmers for protection from the weather. The hat has little structure and is rounded, it’s brim facing downwards. The hat may be created in several materials such as denim or canvas.

The hat soon became popular with upper class English men in the earl 1900s as an outdoor accessory, particularly for it’s practicality. The hat became a fashion statement once again in the 1960s and 1970s, being worn by men as an alternative to the fedora with their overall ensemble.
