Satchel

A satchel is a rectangular bag which has one long strap that is worn on the shoulder or across the body. A satchel is usually used to carry books in and can be worn by both men and women. Satchel’s tend to be created in leather but can be designed in many colours. The satchel can date as far back as the seventeenth Century, predating the backpack and normally has a design of two buckle straps at the front attached to a large flap for opening the bag.
