One of Manolo Blahnik’s favourite black and white movies, The Philadelphia story tells the tale of a sophisticated society lady about to marry until a last minute twist of events causes a change of heart.

Katherine Hepburn, a style icon for all women to this day, wears an array of desirable dresses, from her beautiful gingham 3 tiered maxi skirt to the glamorous pleated evening dress she wore in the Broadway production; we can still see derivations of these iconic pieces in fashion today.
