Damir Doma Men Spring-Summer 2016 – 

Founded in 2008 , the harmonious clothing label re-captures the ephemeral quality of the human body through a measured interplay between shadow and light. Questioning the modern wardrobe, silhouettes are gender fluid with luxurious floor skimming wide leg trousers tapping into a niche European Bohemianism market. Disproportionate layering poetizes the blur between gender boundaries and the clean white lines are synonymous with the androgyny of human nature. Accessories are minimal with a focus on kitsch eye wear, balancing out the disproportionate lengths of each outfit. Focusing on a clean white palate , the occasional burst of blush pink, khaki and navy blue adds character to the gender fluid models, documenting the progression from assigned gender to rebellion against biological constructions. Shapes are kept androgynous with the exception of a grid duster coat and t-shirt , accentuating the burrowing masculine virility in each model.
