Fleur-De-Lis
A fleur-de-lis motif is a three or four leaf lily motif and it originates from the Middle Ages. This motif is repeated to form a Fleur-de-lis pattern and can be varied in terms of scale repeat and colour. The term Fleur-de-lis is French and means Flower of the Lily and was originally a symbol of Purity. This type of pattern is generally printed onto a finished piece of fabric.
