Kerchief

Kerchiefs are square or rectangular pieces of fabric; these are usually folded and used as bandanas. Kerchiefs are generally highly decorated and brightly coloured. These patterns are usually made up of a thick border around the edge and a stylised pattern that radiates from the centre, so that it can be used when folded. The pattern is usually printed on after manufacture but some effects such as tie-dying have to be done before this.
