Mongrel

Mongrel pattern is a checked or plaid pattern in which the warp and weft stripes are different. They can be different in terms of scale, colour, width and number of stripes. These uneven stripes create an interesting end pattern, especially with the repeat and the contrast in colours. Because this fabric uses stripes, it can be colour woven, meaning that different colours can be created where the warp and weft overlap.
