Pop Art

Pop Art is a form of Art that was extremely popular in the 1950’s. It uses bright colours, cartoon imagery, speech bubbles, dots and strong black lines to create interesting patterns. A lot of the time branded products are also used both as a form of advertising and irony. Pop Art generally uses primary colours in contrast with black. This can be repeated in many different ways, one of possibly the most famous repeated Pop Art pattern is the Campbell’s soup tin. Pop Art patterns can be printed onto finished pieces of fabrics to create eye-catching pieces.
